Meet Kyle

Head Trainer

In late 2022, Santa Hill Ranch announced that up-and-coming NRHA Professional Kyle Shaw came on as head trainer in New York. Shaw’s life has always involved horses; he grew up near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and his family owned a trail riding and lesson ranch.

Shaw’s father became interested in reining in the late 1980s and helped build the local affiliates. Shaw began showing Rock n Roll Senorita and Lou Earl Benito at just 4 years old. When he was a child, his family often traveled with him to ride with NRHA Hall of Famer Tim McQuay and Randy Paul.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in business from Queens University, Shaw returned to full-time training and showing. His successful career in Canada included coaching the gold medal FEI Young Riders team; then he decided to make a move. Since 2014, Shaw has lived and shown in the United States. His Accolades have grown every year since.

Kyle and Bob are very excited about the future of Santa Hill Ranch and building it better than ever.
