Some people refer to Bob Santagata as "the Carpet King of the North Atlantic!" He is also Santa Hill's Owner. Bob grew up in Long Island, NY, where his passion for horses began. He spent much of his free time riding the trails and developing his appreciation for all things horse related.

Craig Johnson
Head Trainer
Craig Johnson joined Santa Hill Ranch as Head Trainer in December 2007. Craig possesses 35 years reining experience beginning with his first horse Barred’s Ghost. Craig is a two-time Futurity Champion, a NRHA Derby Champion and has won the NHRA Reserve Open World Championship.

Assistant Trainer
Santa Hill welcomes Josh Miller as the new assistant trainer for Craig Johnson. Josh has worked for other trainers such as Bryant Pace, Francois Gauthier and Craig Schmersal.

Welcome to Santa Hill Ranch
At Santa Hill Ranch we are committed to providing the very best care and training possible for your horse. A capable staff of horsemen and women have been assembled to help maximize your equine athlete and friend to become all it can be. We use the concepts of reining training to develop them mentally, physically, and emotionally. We also eliminate the challenges getting in their way. We accept each equine for their individuality and gifts, or lack of, and play a fair game using natural principles mixed with high expectations. Our goal is to see how broke we can get each horse. We ride like we M.E.A.N. it. Maximize, Eliminate, Accept, and Never quit. |

Come join us for a weekend of Fun, Food & Learning at the Santa Hill Ranch GRAND OPENING!!!
The weekend kicks off at 9:00 am on Saturday May 2nd with Craig, Shawn and Scott demonstrating, showing maneuvers and giving tips. Then in the afternoon after a lunch break, Craig, Shawn and Scott will coach some invited guests...sign in for a chance to ride!
There will be drawings, food and fun! Come for a day of Reining...Learn, Laugh and REIN!

Training and Education
Craig has several alternatives for helping you in the training of your horse including personal training at the ranch, one on one... just Craig and your horse. Whatever it is that you want to achieve with your horse, Craig can help you reach that goal. Contact Lyn Johnson to discuss your training objectives and we will design a training plan to meet your needs. Craig trains horses of all ages, from yearlings on up. There is usually a waiting list at Santa Hill Ranch, so call today to get your horse on the list and get his training off on the right hoof!
